Bangkok Watch Workshop
Each Watch Deserves
Considered Attention
Pivotal Hour is a specialist bench workshop on Sathorn Tai Road, Bangkok. We work on mechanical watches that need careful, methodical attention — not assembly-line handling.

What We Do at the Bench
Three focused services, each carried out by hand with the tools and patience the work requires.
Water Resistance Service
A bench appointment for watches used around water. The technician opens the case, inspects gaskets at the case-back, crown, and crystal, replaces them as needed, and runs both dry-air and wet pressure tests. A written report documents the final tested rating.
- Full gasket inspection and replacement
- Dry-air and wet pressure testing
- Written service report included
Estate Watch Assessment
A careful assessment for watches inherited or acquired second-hand. The technician documents what is present, photographs the dial, hands, case, and movement under magnification, notes signs of past service, and prepares a clear written summary with next-step recommendations.
- Detailed photographic documentation
- Movement condition assessment
- Written summary and recommendations
Chronograph Complication Service
Specialist service for mechanical chronograph movements with sluggish pushers, jumping seconds hands, or misaligned resets. The technician disassembles the module, inspects the column wheel or cam, cleans and lubricates linkages, and reassembles with attention to pusher feel and reset accuracy.
- Full chronograph module disassembly
- Timing trace and pusher test
- Column wheel / cam inspection

What Sets This Workshop Apart
Hand-Level Work
Every bench appointment is handled directly by a qualified technician. No work is passed along an assembly chain.
Written Reports
Each completed service produces a written report. You receive documentation of what was done, what was found, and what was tested.
Measured Testing
Pressure tests, timing traces, and pusher tests are conducted on instruments — not assessed by feel or assumption.
Transparent Pricing
Service fees are stated in advance. There are no hidden charges added after the watch is opened.
Honest Turnaround
We provide realistic timelines before work starts. You are kept informed at each stage, without chasing updates.

Common Enquiries
How do I arrange a bench appointment?
Use the contact form at the bottom of this page or call the workshop directly. Describe the watch and the issue you have noticed. We will confirm availability and let you know what to bring on the day.
How long does each service take?
The water resistance service typically takes two to three working days once the appointment is confirmed. Estate assessments are usually completed within three to five working days. Chronograph complication services take seven to fourteen working days depending on parts availability and the complexity of the movement.
Do you work on all brands of mechanical watches?
We work on most Swiss and Japanese mechanical movements. Some movements with proprietary tools requirements or extreme scarcity of parts may be outside what we can service responsibly. We will tell you this during the initial consultation rather than after the watch is opened.
What information does the estate assessment provide?
The written summary covers what parts appear original, what signs of previous service or replacement are visible, the condition of the dial, hands, case, and movement under magnification, and a set of recommendations for next steps. It does not include an insurance or sale valuation.
Are service prices inclusive of parts?
Service fees cover bench time and standard consumables such as gaskets and lubricants. If worn mechanical components need replacing — for example, a chronograph lever or a click spring — these are quoted separately and agreed with you before any parts are ordered.
Is the workshop a good place to leave a valuable watch?
Watches in our care are held in a secured environment and handled only at the bench. We photograph each piece on arrival and maintain a log of all movements in and out of the workshop. We are happy to discuss our handling procedures during your initial visit.
Ready to Bring Your Watch In?
A short message is all it takes to arrange a bench appointment. Describe the watch and what you have noticed, and we will be in touch within one working day.
